In a bid to enhance the dating experience for its users, Tinder, the popular dating app, has announced the launch of a new feature called “Share My Date”. This tool will enable users to easily share details about their upcoming dates with friends and family through the app. The idea for this feature came about after observing that many young people under 30 often discuss their date plans with their close circle of friends. In fact, internal research conducted by the app revealed that 18% of users even share this information with their mothers.
Melissa Hobley, Chief Marketing Officer of Tinder, emphasized that the goal of this new feature is to make the dating experience more enjoyable, safe, and respectful for all users. “Share My Date” will simplify the process of sharing date information, allowing users to focus on other aspects of preparing for a date, such as selecting an outfit and brainstorming conversation topics.
With this feature, users can share details such as date, time, location, and a photo of their date partner through a simple link. Users have control over who they share this information with and can create an unlimited number of date plans scheduled up to 30 days in advance.
