WhatsApp Upgrades Storage Management System with New Filters and Tabs to Ease Space Clearing

Free up storage space easily with WhatsApp for Android in Chats and Channels

WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature that allows users to effortlessly manage their storage on the platform. This system now includes two tabs – Chats and Channels – making it easier for users to free up space taken up by images, documents, videos, and other files. This feature is part of the messaging service developed by Meta.

Within the settings section of WhatsApp, users can now find a tab called ‘Manage Storage’ which displays the storage in use, free storage, network usage, and automatic file downloads. This section also lists Chats with saved contacts, the files shared with those contacts, and their sizes.

Recent updates by the company have added new filters to the storage section, distinguishing between space used by Chats and Channels. Additionally, a new tab called ‘All’ has been introduced, combining both Chats and Channels. This update aims to help users focus on specific types of content and identify conversations or channels that consume the most storage space.

Overall, this new feature is designed to simplify the task of managing storage, cleaning up space, and freeing up storage on the WhatsApp platform.
