Jay Wasemiller, a freshman from Bartlesville, has qualified for the State tournament in boy’s golf after impressively shooting a 76 at Regionals. He led his team despite finishing in 10th place as a whole. Notable was the fact that two of his teammates, Lucas Wyatt and Nash Zervas, also shot under 90.
As he prepares to compete in the State tournament on Monday and Tuesday at the Oaks Country Club in Tulsa, Wasemiller is focused on giving it his all. His achievement as a freshman is particularly notable and he will be closely watched as he takes on some of the best golfers in the state.
