The Super Science Club was awarded Outstanding Club or Organization of the Year at the 2024 Impact and Excellence Awards, which took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Adventure Society President Ben Surosky was also recognized as the Outstanding Club or Organization Member of the Year. Two faculty members, history professor Richard Hardesty and physical sciences professor Katherine Keough, won the Teaching Excellence Award, while communications professor April Copes and computer information systems professor Cedric Harris received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Zeitgeist Award for their work in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus. Student Government Association Executive Vice President Rabiyatou Bah was recognized as the Student Achievement and Success Program Student of the Year. All recipients expressed their gratitude and excitement at receiving their awards, emphasizing their commitment to providing students with excellent experiences and opportunities for growth and success.
