Laredo Health Department recommends getting vaccinated for respiratory illnesses

As the peak season for respiratory illnesses comes to a close, the Laredo Health Department is urging the community to remain vigilant. Although flu and other infections have been on the decline in the area, it’s crucial to stay up-to-date with vaccines to safeguard yourself and those around you.

Despite the low levels of flu cases in the city, Jaime Perez from the Laredo Health Department emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated to prevent illness. The RSV vaccine, recommended for children aged 0 to 24 months, will be available until the end of the month. The flu vaccine, available for both adults and children, will be available until June 30th.
