Da Vinci Announces Opening Date for New Science Center in Allentown

The much-awaited Da Vinci Science Center is set to open its doors at the PPL Pavilion in downtown Allentown. This new education center will replace the existing facility on the Cedar Crest College campus and is officially welcoming the public on May 22.

The Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion will offer visitors an immersive experience with its inaugural exhibit, Dinos Alive. Showcasing 30 life-sized animated dinosaurs, from Velociraptors to the iconic T-rex, this state-of-the-art 67,000-square-foot science education facility will provide interactive experiences for visitors of all ages.

Executive director and CEO Lin Erickson expressed her excitement about the long-awaited opening of the center, emphasizing the strong community support that made it possible. The center’s mission is to make science come alive and bring lives to science, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s curiosity.

In addition to the exhibit galleries, the Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion will offer amenities like fully equipped classrooms, cutting-edge laboratories, and interactive workshops to engage visitors of all ages. There will even be a rooftop terrace for private events, adding to the overall experience of exploring, learning, and discovering at this premier science center in the Lehigh Valley.
