United Front: International Powers Call for Immediate Cease-Fire in Gaza as Israel Faces Urgent Demands for Humanitarian Aid

The Arab world embraces the UN decision as a crucial and vital advancement.

Saudi Arabia called on the international community to halt Israeli attacks on Gaza civilians, end their suffering, and provide hope to the Palestinian people. The organization urged Israel to allow Palestinians freedom of movement and access to humanitarian needs in all areas of the Gaza Strip, including heavy equipment for clearing rubble.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry also supported the Security Council’s decision for a cease-fire in Gaza after months of Israeli military operations. The ministry emphasized the need to stop bloodshed and prevent civilian losses while allowing humanitarian aid to be delivered uninterrupted.

Jordan urged Israel to comply with the resolution and protect civilians in Gaza. The country stressed that implementing the resolution was necessary to achieve a permanent cease-fire and protect the two-state solution.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed the call for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza, viewing it as a step towards ending aggression, withdrawing Israeli forces, releasing captives, preventing displacement, and ending famine. International efforts were seen as necessary to ensure a permanent cease-fire and introduce aid to Gaza.
