Saudi Arabia’s Dragon Ball Z Theme Park: A Unique Gaming and Entertainment Experience

The world’s first Dragon Ball Z theme park is being built in Saudi Arabia

The 2019 Gamescom gaming trade fair in Cologne, Germany, showcased the latest version of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. Visitors had the opportunity to experience the gameplay firsthand and get a glimpse into the upcoming theme park in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia is set to introduce its first-ever Dragon Ball Z theme park as part of its Qiddiya project. Spanning 5.3 million square feet, the entertainment venue will feature seven different areas inspired by the original Japanese anime television series. With over 30 themed rides, hotels, and restaurants, fans of Dragon Ball Z can expect a unique experience at this new attraction.

The upcoming theme park will include five “world first” rides, including a 230-foot-high roller coaster named Shenron after the series’ iconic magical dragon. The theme park is just one part of Qiddiya City, a massive project that aims to offer over 400 attractions to residents and visitors alike. With plans for a Six Flags park, a waterpark, and various entertainment options, Qiddiya City is expected to become a tourist destination that will attract millions of visitors each year.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund has been instrumental in funding projects like Qiddiya City and has helped pave the way for Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector growth. The fund has allocated billions of dollars towards developing infrastructure and creating new experiences for visitors. Vision 2030, led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aims to boost tourism in the kingdom and diversify its economy away from oil reliance.

With past events and attractions having been successful in attracting tourists from around the world, Saudi Arabia is working towards establishing itself as a top tourist destination on the global stage.
