Russian Authorities Continue Search for Survivors Following Crocus City Hall Attack

The search operation extended at Moscow region terrorist attack site until March 26

The search operation at the site of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, which occurred on Friday, March 22, has been extended until Tuesday, March 26. Despite the authorities’ efforts, the death toll remains unchanged at 137 since Sunday.

The attack was carried out by four armed men who entered Crocus City Hall and shot many people before starting a fire and escaping in a car. The FSB of the Russian Federation announced that all four perpetrators have been detained in the Bryansk region. Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack, and a total of 11 suspects have been arrested.

Rescuers are currently working tirelessly to clear debris at Crocus City Hall while dog handlers and builders assist in the rescue operation. The completion of the rescue operation was announced on Saturday evening, with 137 confirmed deaths, including three children. Unfortunately, not all of the deceased have been identified yet, and about 100 victims remain hospitalized.

On Monday, March 25, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations published a preliminary list of victims consisting of 68 individuals whose names were listed regardless of gender. Among them were Abdulova Tatyana Anatolyevna, Almukhametov Ilya Igorevich, Baklemyshev Alexander Borisovich, and others.
