Thief leads police on chase through Miami-Dade on stolen orange sports motorbike

On Monday evening, an orange sports motorbike was stolen in Leisure City and the perpetrator, Ezequiel Brown, 44, attempted to flee from police on it. Detectives recognized the bike being ridden by Brown near Southwest 152nd Avenue and Lincoln Drive and tried to stop him. However, Brown refused to comply with the detectives’ orders and continued to speed away recklessly, even looking back at them multiple times.

The pursuit continued until Brown abandoned the bike near Southwest 288 Street and Kentucky Road. Records showed that his license had been suspended on March 11. Brown was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after midnight on Tuesday. In court, he faced charges stemming from four cases, including grand theft, fleeing and eluding police, driving with a suspended license, and reckless driving. His bond was set at $5,300 and Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Maria Gonzalez-Marques presided over the case.
