Marvel has announced a new game that combines the fast-paced action of “Overwatch” with the rich universe of Marvel Comics. Called “Marvel Rivals,” the game will feature a wide range of heroes and villains from the Marvel universe, as two teams of six members battle it out on the battlefield for control.

Developed by NetEase Game, “Marvel Rivals” is set to provide an immersive gaming experience with its diverse characters and gameplay mechanics. The story of the game was created by the NetEase writing team and revolves around Doctor Doom’s clash with his future counterpart in 2099, causing universes to collide in the Time Stream Tangle. Superheroes and supervillains from multiple realities must come together to fight against both Dooms before one can dominate all realities.

The game will initially feature 18 characters, including popular heroes like Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Hulk, and villains like Loki and Magneto. Players can combine the powers of two heroes to unleash a more powerful attack in a unique twist for the genre. NetEase has promised continuous updates to the game, adding new heroes, arenas, and content to keep players engaged.

“Marvel Rivals” is set to be free-to-play and promises a thrilling gaming experience for fans of both Marvel Comics and first-person shooters.
