Hyundai Motor Group has continued to excel in the automotive industry, earning three prestigious titles at the 2024 World Car Awards. The Kia EV9 was named the 2024 World Car of the Year at the New York International Auto Show, while also winning the title of 2024 World Electric Vehicle. Additionally, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N was awarded the 2024 World Performance Car. These victories highlight the group’s global leadership in electric vehicles and their technological excellence in their Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

The Kia EV9’s success can be attributed to its innovative design, spacious seven-seat interior, and competitive price point. The model is built on E-GMP architecture, making it the first Kia vehicle to feature fourth-generation battery technology for enhanced performance. The group’s focus on sustainability and innovation continues to set them apart from competitors in the automotive industry.

In previous years, their IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 models took home triple titles in categories such as World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle, and World Car Design of the Year. Furthermore, Kia’s EV6 GT was named World Performance Car in 2023 and their Telluride model won overall World Car of the Year in 2020 while Soul EV was named as world urban car.
