Green Business Growth and Opportunities in the Yampa Valley: Join the Business Leadership for Climate Workshop Series

Workshop on Sustainable Practices in Business to be Held in Northwest Colorado this Week

The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and Steamboat Springs Chamber are hosting the second installment of their “Business Leadership for Climate” workshop series on Wednesday. Local business owners and organizations are invited to participate in the event, which will take place from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room in Steamboat Springs.

During the workshop, attendees will learn about the benefits of state-level recognition through the Colorado Green Business Network and how to achieve bronze-level certification within the first year. The organizers will provide comprehensive knowledge about the green business program, guidance on the recognition application process, and tips on accumulating points toward certification.

The goal of the event is to support the growth of the Yampa Valley green business community and facilitate discussions about green business opportunities and challenges. Lunch will be provided by Hypnotic Chicken, with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

For those unable to attend the workshop, the Colorado Green Business Network of Yampa Valley team will host office hours at Bud Werner Memorial Library Coffee Bar on last Wednesday of every month from 8:30-9:30 a.m. No RSVP is necessary, attendees can drop by, enjoy a free coffee and snack, and get their questions answered.
