Belarus Bans Import and Sale of “Ararat Brandy Factory” Products Due to Harmful Dye Discovery

Ararat Cognac Factory products banned in Belarus

The chief state sanitary doctor of Belarus, Alexander Tarasenko, has issued a ban on the import and sale of products from the “Ararat Brandy Factory.” This decision was announced by the press service of the regional center of hygiene, epidemiology, and public health in Gomel.

The factory is known for producing wine and brandy products. This news comes as a cautionary measure to ensure public safety and health in Belarus. The reason for the ban is the detection of a harmful dye in the product, prompting the need for the factory’s products to be removed from circulation and properly disposed of.

It is worth noting that this decision serves as a reminder of the importance of strict quality control measures in the production and distribution of food and beverage items. The discovery of inconsistencies in products can have serious consequences on public health, making it crucial to take action when necessary.
