Arizona Department of Health Services Receives Reaccreditation from Public Health Accreditation Board

Arizona’s Health Services Department Successfully Retains National Accreditation

Maintaining national accreditation is a significant milestone for health departments across the country, and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has achieved this status through a comprehensive evaluation by the Public Health Accreditation Board. ADHS has been nationally accredited since 2017 and is one of over 400 health departments in the United States to hold this distinction.

The reaccreditation of ADHS is a testament to their commitment to exceptional standards throughout Arizona, according to Executive Deputy Director Jennie Cunico. She emphasized that maintaining this status allows ADHS to continue meeting the highest standards in public health and providing quality services to the communities they serve.

ADHS is proud to be among the select group of health departments in Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, Yavapai counties and Pascua Yaqui Health Services Division that also hold this accreditation. This reaffirms their dedication to ensuring that residents of these communities receive high-quality public health services that are aligned with national best practices.
